To take proper care of an iguana or lizard requires quite a bit of work on the owner's part. Reptiles like the iguanas and lizards require things such as very specific diets, precise temperatures, proper sized enclosures, and very frequent handling or they will become very aggressive. Most lizards are not for the beginner keeper. Most people think a cute little $15 baby iguana would be easy to care for, but they soon learn just how hard it can be. They are not for everyone, but if you do decide to go with an iguana or lizard and take very good care of it you will have a very good pet for many years.Originally Posted by TheGodfather
