What was your very first car, did your parents buy it for you, how old were you when you got your car and your license and how long have you had your license to this day? Also, did you wreck your first car, if so, was it your fault or someone elses?

I was 16 when I got my license (the day after my bday), I've had my license for 5 years.. My first car was a 1996 cavalier 2.2 liter.. Basic model! I bought it for myself. I've never wrecked anything I've ever driven except that damn dirtbike! LOL..

1996 Altima Cousin helped me get it with her credit, I payed for it and got my own insurance policy which RAPED my wallet.
260 per/mth 344 For insurance each month for one year, next year 305, following year 250 etc etc.
Still got my nizzle though, never though i'd pay it off but did when i graduated college beginning of last year

16 with my license, bought it my self, 1964 plymoth valiant, made it into a low low, triple gold D's 100 spoke, midnight blue, blue interior, lowering spring didn't have enought $$ to buy hydros. sold it to a cholo and bought a 98 honda accord 4dr it's been a smooth ride ever since. oh got into a small accident back in feb 2002 off Cruise Rd and Pleasent Hill right infront of RaceTrack. i Hydroplaned, i bent up the front a lil, bumper, left hand side fender,left hand side headlight, exhaust, and hood. nothing to serious.

17 when i got my license, about the same time i got my first car. 04 accord coupe, paid the down payment myself, and pay the monthly myself along with a portion of insurance and gas and any maintenence. Still have it, and never wrecked or anything.

got my license when i was 16 and almost a year later i got my first car which was a 96 eclipse gs...paid for it myself until the day that i wrecked it which was january of this year...it was my fault...i hydroplaned then spun out into a ditch...now i have a 2001 gti and i pay for it myself too...i'm 19 now

16 got the liscense, 17 got my dad's hand me down truck.. payed for insureance myself.. a few tickets and wrecks later, $480 a month for insurance.. dropped that to the ground, put some racing stripes on it... had some bump in it.. sold that when i was 18, and got the accord.. had my liscense for over 9 years now, lost it once for 6 mos...

techincally my first car was a 1993 Toyota Camry (my mom loaned to me while saved enough $ for a car of own...but i payed the insurance and maintence)

but the first car i bought with my own $ is my 1998 LudeLady
...within 72 hours i rear-ended a 2002 Jaguar S-Type (yeah....that was awesome*)

Yeha up until I was like 21 or so my parents bought cars for me, I helped some. They wwanted me to concetrste on college more... But my first car was a 1974 Ford F100 Ranger that was mint ..... but I totalled it my senior year..... apparently burn outs wear your ties out.....and even more so can cause you to hydroplane in extremely wet weather lol

I got my license when I was 16. I have been working since I was 13 like I said in another thead so I saved up money for those 3 yrs to buy my own car which was a 94 LS Integra. I totalled it bc it caught on fire and they had to rip it apart to get me out. So it wasn't my fault just an electrical issue.

My parents made my down payment, and a couple of payments on Sporty Accordy. Then when I lost my job last summer, my parents made my payments for me while I was looking for a job. But tha 3.2CL Type-Sexy is all mine. Totally in my name. Not even a co-signer

88 honda civic was my first car and it was my moms car and she gave it to me. I riced it out with an R badge and cherry bomb exhaust, midnight blue paint job w/red pin strips from macco for $300. Just beat the shit out of it, Hitting shopping carts sitting on the roof, Running over cones, Playing in the mud, neutral bombs, reverse donuts, jumping hills, ect ect. You name i prolly done it in that car. I just didnt give a damn about the car. Yea my mom was pisted but i told her when she gave me the keys that it aint gonna last long w/me behind the wheel. 6 months later only gear that worked was reverse and i got $500 fo rthe car and used it for a down payment on my 92 teggie. from there on the fun days were over. Damn i miss that car

then i got an acura integra in which I DIDNT wreck but someone else tboned me and totalled it. From there i got my acura 3.0 CL and now my X5

got my license when I was 16 bought a 89 lincoln towncar dove it for a year then got a 89 bronco II blew the head gaskets switch back to the lincoln while i fixed the bronco. got it running and decided to paint it. well it turned out like shit so i sold it for $1000 bought my 62 chevy (dad co-signed) payed it off and bought my first RX7 stripped it and beat the hell outta it. finally it died (trans). pulled the motor and put it in my RX7 now and drove it till got the money for my swap. had my license for 4 years. had them taken twice (6 months both times) 14 tickets and no wreck. insurance pwn3s me . not to mention i raced a WS6 in my dads truck on the way home from getting my license........ with my mom!! yeah i was pretty stupid back then

I got my civic when i was 15 i think it was, my parents paid for most of it, i helped out w/ all the money i had which really wasnt that much, maybe like 1500. Then i got my license a couple of weeks after my 16th bday. Drove all the way down to St. Simons (well, actually i got it in brunswick) like 4.5 hrs away cuz i didnt make an appointment early and was goin to have to wait over a month and i just couldnt wait that long.
