Well Chris... you have to ask yourself a simple question..
Is it the car's fault, or the Mechanic's fault?
If its the car's fault, GET RID OF IT.
If its the mechanic's fault.. GET A NEW MECHANIC!

You have come this far. I think if you got rid of it, you would regret it.
The other alternative is to sell it and dump that money into your Firebird.
