Affliction unforunately has become a fad because they have sponsored fighters. However what most people dont know is Affliction has been around for a long time and have some bad ass designs, not pretaining to fighting AT ALL. Tapout is for wannabes. But ask yourself this question. Whats the difference between someone wearing an affliction shirt repping their favorite fighter, and someone wearing a Mike Jordan jersey?

there is a difference between wearing a shirt that says Silva, Ortiz, Liddel, etc on it and wearing a shirt that is considered "fashion"

People dont walk around wearing their MJ jerseys to look like they are some sort of pro basketball player. Basketball and MMA werent two good comparisons. Its just different. Trying to be a badass only applies to TAPOUT for all im concerned

This conversation had to be the one we had @ lunch a couple of days ago..

    Funny part is...

Some people buy those gay ass shirts.... then go out and are broke ass a joke... and act like they pee beer and shit strawberries....

honestly, if they were not so expensive, I would buy a few to clean around my house..

Is nothing wrong with dressing nice and having nice clothe.. But I am glad I am not a fucking follower or fall into these lame ass trends..

Well Affliction was never big until it sponsored MMA. The older affliction shirts and shirts they have now that are just purely design with japanese writing etc.. their Hero's and Demon series etcetc. weren't very popular. Also, most of the shirts you see, you don't even notice they're a fighters shirt unless you see the small print on the back.. 95% of the time unless you know their product line well you dont know if it's one of their "deisgner" lines or one of their "fighter" lines. Oh well!

Trying to be a bad ass does apply to TapOut. And yes, a lot of people who think they're good at basketball wear basketball jersey's. There's very few people who wear clothing simply just because they like it, and didn't have some sort of "well everyone else has one, it's the "in thing" influence.

I dont/wont wear that stupid shit. I would rather put the $100 in the bank and watch it make interest than wear a t-shirt that is like a giant advertisement.

And thats why I will be able to retire at a young age where as people who spend all their money on clothes and shoes will work until they are 70 years old. Wasting money on pointless shallow shit like that is a rediculous. I could afford to buy all the stupid $100 t-shirts I want. I just choose not to.

Yeah, anyone who would spend $100 on a T-shirt has their priorities screwed up. The most I ever spent on a shirt was $40 and I felt like a greasy meathead afterwards.

Amen...I've been in the sport for years and years and I only have one Affliction shirt cuz my girlfriend bought it for me for V-day lol...I just hate that the sport is like now a fad when a while ago no one really cared...and now everyone is an "MMA Fighter" or a "black belt in jiujitsu"

I have about 7 Affliction shirts. I love the styling of MOST of them. I love their graphics and designs. Their colors are pretty bad ass.

The question is, why do faggots buy Ed Hardy?
