I partially agree. That 1.3 liter in the RX8 can guzzle gas like no other so I don't see rotaries as being all that superior right now. Representing the engine's power in terms of HP will be highly misleading since the numbers are not of the same dimension. However, at .9 Mach at 40k feet, the engine produces ~175KHP. Yes, 175,000 HP.
