    Civil War Vets FTL.

The Klan started roughly in 1865, and by 1867 they started killing, supressing, and torturing blacks. They wanted a white man's government, and took out all their hate against the federal government on blacks in the South. They were racist from start to finish. Their goals were to supress blacks to the point where it was "legal" slavery again.

    History my ass, lol.

Actually the ORIGINAL "goals" were to restore white supremacy in the south. WITHOUT VIOLENCE, however that did not last. Also revolting against the Goevernment.

    Thank you.

Am I saying I support them? No not one bit.

Actually, the original reason was because 6 confederate soldiers came back to their homes in Pulaski Tennessee. The saw a desolate South and decided to change that. The original name was based on the Latin word for "circle", Klu Klus. The changed the name up a bit and called themselves the Ku Klux Klan. Their main objective, at first, was to dress up like dead confederate soldiers, hence the robes, and crash any kind of gathering to bring enjoyment. Shortly after, it turned into a hatred motivated organization led by Nathan Bedford Forrest. He left because he felt like what was being done was wrong. The died out due to some law, cant remember. Had a rising again due to some guy named Simons, cant remember his first name, on top of good ole Stone Mountain. After that, the organization became what we know of it now, hate towards anybody that is not a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP). I think that's how it went down, i read on the back of a cereal box.
