Here's the email I sent everyone involved in public works and road works in the county and city.

Hi, I am William Humphries. I was driving to Washington Mutual today and as I was pulling in, for some reason there was a very destructive object in the roadway as I was pulling in. I drive in and hear a loud CLANK under my car so I turn around to find out what it was and to get it out of the road. As I get back in my car, I see that my Check Engine Light is now illuminated. I would like to know what the city is going to do about this occurrence. I do not find myself responsible for running over something that should not have been there in the first place. I will be visiting the DOT and Public Works of Fayette County and Peachtree City today to get some information. Email me back as soon as possible.
