What everyone forgets to mention when talking about E36 M3s is how stupidly expensive they are to insure. I've never had a wreck or a ticket, and with full coverage my '97 was about $5k/year... Though I'm only 19, so if you're older it may be quite as bad, but still not a smart choice considering what you want.
