Yeah, E36 are not for new drivers or dumb drivers. Takes a while to get used to it.Originally Posted by bikerj11

Very true. People don't understand how high their limits are. A weekend at the track without seeing a newer student into the wall in an E36 is a rare weekend.Originally Posted by x Resilience
If your getting an S2k then i'd seriously suggest a driving lesson. I'm not being rude, just go do an autocross training school. They are great cars but they are twitchy and challenging cars to drive fast, especially in the wet. Almost any one with seat time in one could tell you that. I see them spin right and left when the track gets wet just about every time
i want to go to the track "track ( not a stright line) so bad but boy its $ and my car is my DDlol...ill just do the autoX

If you look at the amount of seat time you get auto crossing, it's actually more expensive unless you find a place that lets you run more then 6-7 times. I auto crossed from age 15-17 bec. I worked for a company that let me run as much as I wanted, for 3 days straight days once my duties were fulfilled. Now that I can't do that, I don't autocross. $40 for 6 runs is just crap to me, I go home wanting more.
However, down in Louisiana SCCA is really leniant and cool about it. We have (give or take) 20-60 cars at a school and typicall can get another 8-12 runs in after everyone has run their initial 6. Now that's worth the money...
I'd suggest doing a Talladega day. Don't get race pads, just get some shitty Axis front pads for $60 and run on street tires. It'll cost you a tank of gas, $60 for pads and $120 for the track day and you'll get more track time then you know what to do with. Even on street pads and street tires I have a ballin' time there every time
Oh trust me I will most def. learn the car. That is FOR SURE!Originally Posted by OnURleft
