2. Civilizing a country and immigrating illegally are two different things. When the pilgrims and other coloners came here in the 1500's, there were no laws on immigrating. I do not agree with a lot of what happened to native americans, but to say we wiped out one of the smartest groups of people, the Egyptians are still around. And Mayans, while intelligent weren't amazingly smart, yes, they had a calendar and buildings, but the egyptians did too, and the Julian Calendar (which is the most like the one we use today) was from Rome (whos empire covered egypt, not central america). The Romans historically were the most advanced for their time.

3. And that does suck for Haiti, but it is not our responsibility to harbor illegal immigrants. We do say that it is the dutie of a super power to help out other countries, but not by making ours worse.
