hey guys, PRAYERS NEEDED!

ok so not very many ppl know about this, but my dad went in for surgery monday to have some cancerous tissue removed. the surgery seemed to have gone fine and the doctors think they got all of it, but now he's having some complications. he's still in ICU and will be for a few more days at least. mom just told me he might have blood clots somewhere now, and i'm just hoping it doesnt get worse. all i really need is for any of you that pray to lift one up for me. my dad's name is jim collins. any and all prayers are greatly apprecaited.

UPDATE!!!

update:

i woke up feeling ill this morning, so i didnt get down to the hospital, but mom was with him all last night and she said they got all the fluid out of his lungs and he is doing much better. i'm not sure what came of the blood clot they thought he had, but apparently all is well now. he's on the road to a good recovery. they're saying if all stays well, he should be coming home either sunday or monday. thank you so much for all the thoughts and prayers!

just talked to mom, and she said that dad still has fluid in his lungs. another issue is that his physical therapist is telling him he needs to get up and walk around a little bit to get blood circulating, but as soon as he does that, his nurses come running in the room saying WTF ARE YOU DOING?!!? they're watching his heart rate skyrocket anytime he tries to elevate himself. so please, keep the prayers coming. again, its greatly appreciated!

yeah, we know that. He had quadruple bypass surgery back in 2000. They're just trying to minimize that risk.

oh i know, and i wasnt trying to come across with a bitter tone. i apologize if i did. i was just stating that we know he's got congestive hart failure and has had it for 10 years now. but thanks for the wishes.

Ok, cool, then. My apologies as well. My grandfather has had it for 32 years now himself. He's dealt with the fluid for a while, but the doctors seem to have found a solution through meds for it's control and he hasn't any problems in a year now. Later, QD.

Cool. And I gave you that info about my grandfather to maybe you give you an iota of peace of mind that it isn't (for lack of better word) fatal. Or doesn't have to be. His heart has been at 15% now for almost 2 years as well. Later, QD.

i want to extend a huuuuge thank you to everybody that raised up a prayer for my dad. i also want to update everybody. to my knowledge, all the fluid is gone from his lungs, and he's in the final stages of recovery. they discharged him from the hospital this morning at about 8am and he's sitting happily at home now. he's still in a little discomfort, obviously, but he's going to be just fine...

again, i thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.
