na its b/c most people buy a honda and don't do anything to it to make it fast, but then they buy a new car w/ more power and they have to talk about it...
still if you want FAST and CHEAP the only way to go is HONDA... i wish my vw was as inexpensive to work on as a civic... shit under 3k for a turbo on a honda and you can buy new motors left and right for them for cheap... shit i'm gonna put a honda in my dub and call it a day
Mods for hondas are expensive.. Regular maintance or regular wear and tear is not as expensive as other brands out there. (depending what you compare it to)
On the other hand,,,, One of the best cars out there are made by honda as far as durability and quality is not to shabby either.
I love my civic.. its my daily and reliable as hell.. The supra is my fun/weekend/show care only.. I will never dogs hondas I love em

a car runs as well as its history. If you get a well taken care of DSM, then you will have a well runnign track car.
And the reason you dont see so many of them, poor routine maintenance, and people that dont know what they are doing lead to a large number of ricers, blowing up turbos and engines, overheating, tranny mihaps and need i go more.
But the fact is, for 3,000 i can be in the 12s reliably. With a honda, that same 3,000 (retail not with deal) will get you 13s questionably.
Ive seen it, witnessed, and helped on both hondas, and built many dsms for people on budgets. DSM is still the tried and true way to go.
And a turbo AWD or even FWD in good condition is a rare sight these days and fetch a pretty penny becuase they are worth it.
I hate honduhs because of most honda owners,it isnt generally the car itself.

I'm gonna have to argue with ya there... Dollar for Dollar = 5.0 mustang = the cheapest to go fast. Anyways, on the topic.. I dont make fun of the average everyday Honda... I think Honda's (civics) are great for what they are, but i just love making fun of kids who throw a wing and a gay exhaust on there moms civic and saying they got a sports car... I just find that hilarious.

dollar for dollar hondas are still cheaper... you can get 500$ hondas all day long... 1500$ motor swap + 3000$ turbo = 5000$ 12sec car
i think the main difference than a DSM or a Mustang is honda are 100x more accessible... you can find them everywhere, as well as the parts, and the shops to work on them.

parts? hmmm.... 5.0 mustangs have one of the biggest aftermarkets out of ANY car. maybe not so much in exterior, but just about everyone makes 5.0 mods. Only reason I'd ever buy a Honda over a v8 would be gas prices, no other reason I could imagine.

Never had any problem with either one of mine... Seen some unreliable honda's in my shops as well = P But yes, in general I will give the "reliable" crown to imports, but thats not reason enough for me to buy one... when i've had pleny of domestics and "Fix or repair dailys" and they haven't given me any trouble.and a hondais more reliable.dont be a moron and argue that..
Hell I still have a hard time believing it myself.... But that shit was back when we all had some GREAT times..... Damn I miss those days..
