My group's part is called Enviromental Design Space. Basically it's a modeling/design enviroment that simulates current and future aircraft to see how much emissions they produce. It also models what you would need to do to reduce the emssions a certain amount and how much it would cost to do so. Or at least that's what it's supposed to do when we are done.It's intended to be a tool for the FAA to help determine how stringent of emissions standards they can impose. I guess that's the brunt of it.
