I think its the parents that have a big influence on that. Most asian parents would like their son/daughter to bring home an asian person. Some don't really care but a lot do.
It also has to do with the crowds that you hang with. If you hang with mostly asian people then you'll probably land an asian girl. If an asian girl hangs with a lot of white people, she'll most likely end up with a white guy.
In my situation, I used to date a lot of other races when my mom wanted me to bring home an asian girl. She stopped caring after seeing me dating other races but she still prefers a Vietnamese girl that she can actually have conversations in Vietnamese with.
