Can we bring back customizing to the scene?

i think the cars of today are lacking personality, I think what most are now doing today is either buying a whole bunch of expensive parts to ,say "im better than the next guy" the car may be nice to look at but doesnt really say anything, just a car with shiny paint, wheels, exhaust, turbo, etc. theres no creativity put into it or just doing things half-ass;i can understand if you dont have a lot of money but at least make the car look presentable and if you cant just leave it stock until you can do so, i think cars back in the day actually had a theme they were trying to execute and we dont see that today, its just whatever as long as its low, shiny and fast whats it matter......

Exactly!!! back in the day broke folks like me had to be creative. Creativity is what we're missing these days. they make the JDM guidelines think for them as opposed to thinking and modding for themselves.

see, i dont care about what my car looks like aside from low, loud, and decent wheels. i prefer to do unique shit under the hood and to the engine. im still thinking about carbing my m20...
