I've known people with diabetes, and it sounds like you're doing everything right...except maybe making up for bad diet with your insulin. But everyone is different, and you seem plenty aware enough to handle it.
Keep a good attitude and keep up with it like you have been! As you have found, you learn to cope with it after a while, and it's only a big deal occasionally.
Good luck, and keep it up!
Thanks man. I've learned to live with it and work with it over the years. After living with it for so long, when i feel a certain way I can tell what's wrong, which really does help sometimes. I don't necessarily have a bad diet. I actually try and stick to my diet. But when i do stray away from my diet, i have to compensate for it with more insulin. I use a sliding scale, so that is what I'm supposed to do. Good luck with everything. Hope everything works out good for you, also.
