    and it is a great that the consideration for black history is there, and hopefully it will inspire those potentially interested to do some research, but i could care less for the most part about what month it is and who did what, regardless of color. i do not see the point in bringing it back up. history is happening now.

    It's still not acknowledged. Sure, Obama will be in a book in a few years, but the people that literally paved the way do not get counted.

    Dude people don't even know who Charles Drew is, nor would many be living if not for his contribution. Simple stuff, not asking for alot

    It's not that we WANT to coin a holiday, but at the time Negro Week was created it was all WE could do to keep the accomplishments preserved.
