First, let me make it clear that pot is super duper.. Not a pothead myself, but pot definitely helps you see things from a different angle and occasional/recreational euphoric use is nothing to be looked down on.. Anyone that says that pot makes you dumb/useless should look at himself first.. A good friend of mine is the biggest pothead ever and he was a valedictorian at my high-school and is now 3rd year student at Emory with a 4.0 GPA.. Smokes many times, everyday.
I mean seriously, it is just pot.. But the issue is that Micheal Phelps is not just a regular guy, he has responsibilities and expectations as the role-model, icon, champion he is..
A company that keeps sponsoring him and endorsing him like Kelloggs who makes cereal for kids would send the wrong message..
This whole thing is blown out of proportion and it is all because of the media and technology, and to boycott the companies that dropped him is wrong.. These companies are really not the culprits, they have no choice..
Micheal Phelps should of been discrete with his pot use..
