    Default This is why you dont pull infront of Semi Truck/Dump Trucks

    There was a wreck about 200-300 feet from my house about 2-3 weeks ago. The road is 5 lanes and the explorer was a few seconds behind me coming into the turning lane. I was able to make the turn (no turn signal at this intersection) with plenty of room. Well apparently the explorer tried to squeeze throw and make the turn. Unfortunately they turned in front of a dump truck when they had no room or space to do so. The driver of the dump truck was doing the speed limit and wasn't in the wrong, but he has to live knowing that the accident resulted in the death of all 3 passengers of the explorer.

    Moral: Pay attention while driving. Semi trucks and the like are hard to pilot and even more hard to stop.

    Ever since watching Top Gear's lorry test, I steer way clear of semis and trucks. Stopping takes pre-planning...you can't really "pre-plan" when cars are hopping out in front of you.

    That sucks. I hate that 2 passengers had to die because of the stupidity of the driver. All the driver had to do was wait a whopping 5 seconds for the truck to pass and everything would have been all good...

    If a semi truck is moving at 55mph, it takes about 500 feet to stop. They travel about 65-75 ft per second. Thats why they call for a 7 second following rule. Everytime i would see some of the assholes in big trucks riding a 4 wheelers ass i would bitch them out on the CB.

    i get scared when i am buy a semi truck on the hwy. dunno why i always feel like they are gonna run me over, since two of my uncles had been in bad accidents by them and both the times it the semi truck drivers fault

    x2 people always pulling out in front of me when there is fukin nobody for miles behind me..i'm like u couldnt wait for 5secs for me to pass then u could have gone as slow as u wanted...no u wana pop out in front of me and creep..

    this happened a few years ago near the gwinnett arena, same situation same result...Asian lady wasnt paying attention and when the car in front of her went she followed...killing her and two others...
