I'm not referring solely to christianity at all; I think much more hollistically than that regarding religion. Raised to be open minded? No - I grew up in a family that has been based in the methodist church for several generations, and as a child I never knew anything else, but I've since come to form my own opinions and shape my own beliefs. I won't delve into what those are exactly, but needless to say, I buck the trend established by the generations before me.
Regarding the choice argument... even though they could be killed... its STILL a choice. As for people in random tribes, they obviously don't have many beliefs to choose from, but its still their choice whether or not they want to embrace and believe what they've been taught. nobody can MAKE you believe anything.
I'm an assclown indeed!
