Default omg i love the 50's

    Quoted from another fourm...

In the early 50's BRM made F1 cars with 1.5litre V16 engines, fitted with a huge centrifugal supercharger (rotating at 4X crank speed), producing 600hp, at 12,000 engine rpm. These engines are still considered one of the best sounding engines of all time, but they broke, a lot. Part of the problem was the fragility of the blower drive.

Just for fun, have a listen to this, BRM V16 makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck....

sounds soo damn nice. And my mountain dew still has more displacement then that 1200hp car....

    Save ur engines!

Sad it was a failure. Kinda like the Moto Guzzi V8, it was too ahead of its time.
