I say let them enjoy the party. Let them have their fun, because on wednesday when they wake up, and their lives have not "changed" they will have to face reality. His campaign was based off of hope, and it was genious. The same people that count on the lottery to change their lives forever some day, are the same type of people that he captured votes from. They honestly think he will change their life, and their situation. Because we all know someone else is in charge of your life, not you, yourself.
I was showing a coworker (one that voted for Obama) some pictures from my honeymoon in Hawaii. She saw a beach picture, and asked me "Is that a big ocean"? I just shook my head, and walked away. How could this person be intelligent enough to gather facts, form an opinion, and cast their vote?
Hope is a good thing, but you can't depend on it solely.
