Getting kids involved by teaching them A.) The president has powers in his office like they claim to when running for office. B.) The president is elected by the people of this country. C.) The president makes laws. D.) The president has anything to do with any part of government that isn't the direct management of the military, suggestion of nominees for confirmation to appointments for judicial and executive positions, or the rubber-stamping of typically veto-proof legislature...

All of that is bad for the Union in the worst kind of way. Maybe we should teach them that the best way to make a difference is to vote with our wallets, our feet, and with our voices for legislature. If every person in the country refused to pay taxes, the government wouldn't have enough money to convince the cops to put us in jail. Hah, end of this ridiculous and honestly unconstitutional income tax right there. If every person in this country insisted that every legislature who voted down a bill that brought about real reform got kicked out of office at the next election, we'd have a real voice rather than all these people bitching about the "Political Class" and an "Oligarchal Congress" that doesn't care for the people.

And if everyone who bitched about this country without being willing to do SOMETHING to make it change would just leave, we wouldn't have a need for ridiculous media stunts costing hundreds of millions of dollars in the midst of the worst economic meltdown in 50 years and no hope in sight of an upswing yet. Get real, Obama will do just what Bush did, which is to say, he will take flak when it goes bad, take credit when it goes well, and have little to no real impact on the country as a whole.
