well to keep people from simply resetting the battery and clearing the codes so they can pass, there is READINESS time built it.
Basically means drive the car around for a few miles to make sure it has time to gather feedback from all the sensors.
30-50 miles, and retest, youll be fine
EDIT: If the car has sat for a long time, it could have gone into reset mode, and acted like the battery was killed or something, especially with how cold its been its not uncommon to see voltage drop so low that it loses power to the ECU.
Id reset the battery and run off 50 miles on it
