alright. Hey btec what happens if it doesnt show up? I never had this happen before and I know usually when this happens and you think he didnt report you find out your license is suspended or somethign.Originally Posted by BTEC
i really dont know man so im not gonna bs you. did ur court date pass already?Originally Posted by Crazy Asian
dang!! i wouldnt really sweat it. just make sure u go to court. if u dnt hve the money when u get there theyll put u on probation but atleast u wont go to jail for a failure to appear or just not paying the ticket.Originally Posted by Crazy Asian
Its those dumbass unsafe drivers that screw it up for the rest of us. I think we need to increase ALL speed limits by 10 and actually enforce them. All highway limits should be 70 - but strictly enforced.
We also need to make that JOKE of a driver's test something meaningful.
if u increase the speed limit ppl are still going to speed. its no way around it.Originally Posted by Atlblkz06
they enforce the speed limit now and we complain when we get tickets. i have an idea of my own that will NEVER pass but it could work. ill keep that to myself though.
I'm actually interested - what is it? PM if you want.Originally Posted by BTEC
I came up with this in 8th grade - They could use a non-newtonian fluid to make speed bumps speed sensitive, so low don't scrape, and those who speed get their suspension ripped off.

Sorry - I'm doing a few things and I said that out of context. That was just a totally random idea for speed bumps, nothing to do with interstate speeding.Originally Posted by BTEC
Can you imagine a speeder suddenly hitting a "speed bump" in traffic? Talk about a catastrophe lol.
my mom was telling me in Germany that drivers have to go through a year of drivers ed before they can get there license so that way they have training in almost all types of environments.Originally Posted by Atlblkz06

CHASE ->>> WHAT MATTERS
Reposted purely for BTEC:
Yea it depends on the actual comfort level of the driver as well (disregarding all other BS that could POSSIBLY be thrown at me by anybody within this IA network)
Interstate speed should be handled the proper way and drivers on that said link between states should understand what the lanes means and the speeds within that lane. Segmenting lanes would be nice with limited access to that said lane at that speed should be maintained (like an HOV) I would even pay for that access so I can get from place to place fast without over exaggerating speeds or dealing with law enforcement for no good reason just to delay my trip.
It'd be fine even to be charged to enter and leave and return for a nominal fee to help those states with revenue (no I'm not talkin about fukin tolls, just take my plate number and mail me a surcharge or something.) That'd be fine with me and I'm a heavy traveler.

not a bad idea but i can see that going bad. actually ive heard talk about them making the hov lane like a toll lane to bring in extra revenue. not sure if itll actually happen though. Sorry i missed it the first time.Originally Posted by blaknoize

13 over, every time I get a ticket (cause they're usually low like this one) I'll go and talk to the solicitor and they'll drop the ticket to 68 but the fine stays. It only proves to me that it is about revenue and not punishment but as everyone else suggested.. I wont whine about it.Originally Posted by redrumracer
Not about punishment??? You may be rich but I'm not and when they take my money, that's punishment to me. You may not lose you license over it, but it's definately still punishment. And the solicitor doesn't drop it just to get you money. It's about closing cases. They figure you will go ahead a plead guilty and pay the fine if they reduce it a little. People who can't get their speed reduced often want to go to trial which takes up time. Could you imagine how long it would take to have trials on every speeding case that comes into court? I know when I go to court, there's usually about 200 people in there.Originally Posted by tony

Speeding tickets=an occasionally enforced tax on getting there.
We're all susceptible.
i got a ticket in cobb co today. I had cruise set on 79 in a 55 but he told me i was doing 82.... i'm going to talk to the solicitor and hopefully just get it dropped 3 mph and pay the fine
