Oh I'm not saying that it doesn't have it's flaws. There is definitely room for improvement in the system. I'm just saying that a tournament system is not without it's flaws either, largely, because it will still have to rely on some sort of ranking system (not to mention further extending the season for the non-professionals, aka students, that play in them). There is simply no way you can decide what the number one team out of 119 is without some sort of ranking system.

I'd like to see some sort of small tounament, 6 or 8 teams, to decide the national champion. I'm just saying it's not the be-all end-all solution of college football controversy.
