    Default Who else has a car that's down right now?

    My car has been down for about a month now because of a stupid wheel. I shredded a wheel but it happen to be on wheel that was bent. The lip is bent so a new tire cannot be mounted, and the rim is unrepairable. Now it's not even a great wheel (just a motegi) but the problem is that it is discontinued so tracking down another wheel has been a bitch. I have ordered it twice from 2 different places and both times recieved the wrong rim (both places claimed the warehouse screwed up and sent the wrong rim). Anyways the second place claims they could get it from a different warehous, but it was suppose to be in last monday, yet I called and got the tracking number and found out it wasn't sent out until last wedsday It's killing me to see my car sitting in the driveway for such a retarded reason. [/end rant]

    Anyways just wondering if anyone else's car is down/broke?

    My car has been down for about a month cause of water in my intake. It should be fixed by this weekend or the first of next week.

    i know how you feel man. My Swift has been down for a little over a year. Mainly because i've been in Korea. So when i went home to visit i saw my Swift just chilling in the garage wanting me to drive her around. Now i got the money to finally fix her up but something just came up to where i might not be able to. I have all the parts and etc. i just don't know how to do the work myself (hint, hint, if some1 wants to hook me up or make a few extra dollars).

    Mine is constantly being down. It was suppose to be done for this saturday's race at commerce but it looks like it will be another week to 2 weeks. Oh yeah, mines been down for a little over 6 1/2 months.

    my truck has been down for about 18 mos.. BUT, im not workin on it much eather.. lol

    im shooting to have it drive outa the garage in the spring(hopefully) it will be primered, no bodywork done, but the bags/bodywork/framework/engine will be done! so at least i will be able to drive it.. lol

    I don't even have a car and haven't for a two years. If things work out this week I will be getting a 2001 s10 which is better than nothing.

    no....its not down..thank god...but..i do have a leak in the pressure line for mypower steering pump..but that bitch is $200. ill wait a little while. lol.

    oil lines for the turbo, feed and return........ a few coolant hoses, so vacuum lines, the whole dashboard pretty much.... well just the radio.. and making my custom gauge cluster again

    and HOPEFULLY it will start and run with no problems...

    Well get crackin'. if were suppose to have this ultimate showdown you need to get the car running soon cause the race season is almost over with. My car will be ready this saturday but not on the road till my new chip arrives but everything will be done this saturday.

    my car had been down for about 1.5 years b/c i spun hte main bearing, and it ran for about a mounth before that and was down for the previous 9 mounths b/c i put a hold in the block of that motor

    i've put maybe 10-15 miles on my MR2 since april...just trying to get the suspension cherry and the widebody sexy...it close to being driveable again but then something new always pops up, VERY fustrating...but yeah, i was slackin for a while there too.

    my s13 is down cause the auto tranny went out. And I'm gonna do a 5spd conversion so it's taking awhile to get all the parts for it. When I have the money for the parts I can't find them and when I can find them I don't have the money. I want to get the s13 running so I can take the s14 down to install the turbo kit on it. I don't wanna take the chance of taking the s14 down and some goes wrong and I don't have a car to drive.

    My wheel is sitting at a ups warehouse in atlanta right now, man I wish I could just drive down there and pick it up....they don't need to wait another day to ship it to marrietta.

    yeh mine has been down for about 3 weeks now, all for a dang manual transmission. None of these projects ever go smoothly..shit always has to happen. Like the only problem i found during the entire manual swap is the damn clutch bleeding/not working situation which is yet unsolved.good luck with all your projects, hope they get done soon

    MIne is down also.... havent got to drive it more than 3 miles since the swap.. NOw im about to take the whole v6 swap out and go back to 4cyl Turbo!!....i swear it never ends.
