I was "beat" even though i think thats too strong a term. I would get a nice 'whack" on my butt when i was younger if i got out of line.

But anything past 10 years old in my mind i dont remember anything.

There was one time when i was 16 (i was a complete asshole and extremely dissrespectfull) i mouthed off something nasty to my mother. All i remember is my Dad running around a corner , grabbing me by my shirt and pinning me up against a wall saying "what did you say"

THat was the last time i was nasty to my mother. From then on it was respect.
