In every day work clothes no one would EVER know I had any tattoos. Some people like them, some don't. Who gives a fuck....My boyfriend doesn't have any tattoos and doesn't like them. But, we've been together for over 2 years and I have 10. You are taking that comment too personally. It is after all his personal opinion. to him a tattoo itself is an unattractive quality in a person....so no matter what the circumstance, he isnt going to see a tattoo as anything but "trashy". Its like girls with tongue rings, or girls with warts on their faces to some ppl......no matter what, some ppl are not going to be able to look past something like that before arriving upon their own personal judgment. There is nothing wrong with that, every person you have ever met, you have judged in some form or another, whether it was consciously or unconsciously

I have gained a TON of respect for Ran, for what it's worth online, from this thread.

He has stuck to his opinion and not backed down no matter what anyone has said. And although I don't prefer his preferences in porn, or the cartoons he enjoys, those do not define him. His ability to stand his ground makes him who he is.

I don't judge him based on what he likes, but if judges, that is his right. He is a free minded American. Last I checked this wasn't Cuba or North Korea, and having your own judgements and opinions are ok.

This is very similar to a heated debate I had with Mr. Alex. He and I discussed it face-to-face. I'm sure he'll tell you that there are some things that I personally don't find amusing. And since by default Ran basically called people I care about "trash".....then there's the problem. If the simple word or assumption that ALL people with tattoos are "trash" or "trashy" would have been kept out the conversation, I wouldn't even of been in this thread.

Yall seem to think that I want to change his mind or convince him that he's wrong. That's not it. The only thing that got under my skin is that he globbed people that I KNOW are not trash with those that may be. He can have all the opinions and disagree and not like and think they're gay and think they're ugly etc......all he or anyone else wants. I really could care less. But don't sit there and call EVERYONE something, especially when those EVERYONE include people I care about, because then I take offense to that. Is that not clear enough yet?

#1. If you're going to make an incredibly self-centered and narrow minded comment like that, don't be surprised if you piss someone off since you went ahead and took it upon yourself to glob EVERYBODY in the same category.

#2. Experience trumps just about anything. And it's been MY experience that some of the most intelligent and well put together people HAPPEN to have tats. I've met Lawyers, Doctors, even Judges during such "trashy" events as Daytona Bike week that were tatted pretty well. I wouldn't consider any of them "trashy" at all.

#3. Some of you obviously don't have good friends nor mirrors. To call someone whom you don't even know "trashy" is incredibly cocky and self-centered. It may not be your taste. She may or may not be butt ugly. But to stand on your self made pedestal like you're some kind of prize to behold and therefore an authority on looks is pretty metrosexual.

You did call me out and, while you made some decent arguments, managed to try to and throw things back in my face with your third point. Thus resulting in the last few pages being what they've become.
