has anyone here refused a cop to search your car?

how can you get in trouble if asked to search your car if you say NO? it is your right to say NO. it doesn't mean throw yourself in front of him and try to stop him.

i have only been asked once and i was in HS - i let them do it but i would never say yes just for the sheer fact i don't have to. though it is a waste of both of our time to delay such things i just would get off wasting his time/mine and then him find nothing.
