Speaking of what we are tired of on IA, I am tired of not being able to have intelligent conversation when it seems like a thread is worthy of it. I am tired of having to have mindless discussions in order to post on this forum and not be seen as a bitch or whatever else people think of posters who take some things to an intelligent level. I am tired of reading about what constitutes child porn and who hates Autumn, yet I don't feel the need to get pissed at people because they choose to do so. I'd like to have a discussion with good grammar and some thought process behind it. It's all good. I'll be back in class in about 3 weeks, I'll start my internship on the 5th and I can go back to having those types of discussions IRL For now, I'll just watch Divorce Court if Ima do something mindless.

If that's the case then I recommend avoiding the WL by any means possible. It's mindless entertainment so for an intelligent convo, I'd recommend going somewhere else. I do not, however, recommend bashing someone's personal views or opinions on a subject with witty remarks or crude sarcasm. You may want to hold an intelligent conversation, but your ability to do so didn't really seem to be all that impressive in that particular instance. Either way, have fun with your sandwich and Divorce Court.

I thought she did really good speaking her peace with the guy who obviously couldn't figure out what she was talking about! i think that some people need to get over the black and white shit and say "hey i'm a freaken american!" Its not a color thing anymore and the faster people realize this on all sides of the spectrum the better this world will be. Why does color have to divide what we do in life? Why do we have to have specific black sites, or white special groups?? Only people that want segregation are people that aren't educated enough to be free thinkers. If people would open there minds and let other peoples ideas come into play they might just be better off in the long run! One guy in that thread said that he couldn't find anything on google that he was looking for that was black specific. She then went and googled all the stuff he listed and posted it. I proud of anyone who stands up for what they believe.

If anything, I posted my opinion and even expressed my willingness to accept it as my opinion and that alone. I event went so far as to compare my biasedness with those of others to accept personal faults of my own.

Ok. I am sorry. I am over it. I could go on and on, as I'm sure you well know, defending my way and my views. I don't feel like I was bashing anyone and it wasn't my intention, just as you don't feel you were bashing anyone. Agree to disagree? I used slight sarcasm, but it wasn't crude (the dick sucking was crude, I'll be sure to stick to fellatio from now on). It was meant to bring the point home. You CAN do that in a debate. I've had communication class recently and it is well accepted...in the case we are getting technical on what constitutes a debate.

Like I said, it did upset me that you called it a self righteous crusade and didn't get that it was just a discussion for me. But trust me, lesson learned. I will not embark on that type of discussion again with anyone on this forum. I know for sure that it's only use is for mindless chatter. I stepped back for a few months and got PM's about how I should post more and I kind of missed IA when I was bored. I wanted to come back and try to stay on the topics of REAL discussion.
