That's probably because you only remember the flaming ones. There's lots of gay people you prolly run into and are good people you just dont know they are gay because they dont live to be gay, they just happen to be gay. I swear some of these "flaming" gays are in it mostly because they want the attention. People can be gay all they want but those people who base their whole life and personality around being gay dont get much respect from me.

Actually, to my knowledge you are able to place a comma before an 'and' I don't believe there are any rules against it, you can use it as you please. However, some instructors may be more anal about it.

My only thing to the OP is.. if you're not gay then why care?

I used to work downtown, the alternative lifestyle is pretty popular there as I'm sure a lot of you know. I have coworkers that say they beat a guy up for hitting on them, cussed someone out, etc etc but at the end of the day if you like women then why get upset about it?

Colors don't make you gay. But for real from what i've seen you dress "retro" which is fine, except gay guys pickup on it. My friend dresses the same admits to it all and has great stories of gay guys hitting on him.
