they are completely different chassis's...notice the "AE86" so commonly used...that’s a chassis designation you worthless troll.....notice its not the same as "AW11".....they are NOTHING alike......also, they are close...but the MR2 is actually heavier.....mostly due to the strengthening/reinforcing of the chassis.....something that has to be done aftermarket on a corolla if looking to exceed 200whp lulz

The fact is, they aren’t just the same car with different layouts...the MR2 was designed as a MR car....not the other way around. If you were to swap the motor in the corolla to the rear, obviously it wouldn’t handle the same....as it wasn’t designed that way

As probably the one of the biggest Toyota fans on this sight, it saddens me that there are ppl out there like you that are so misinformed :cry:

Yes and still loses, even the twin injection HIGH comp ae92 bottom end/ae101 head Matori car gets raped. The sw20's are badass, but they don't fit the mold of what the aw11 was. I want one for a highway car someday. Obviously the best looking generation of mr2, but too heavy and too many problems.
