I had an idea. If you leave reps for someone, include your username. That way they will know who it was from, and could return some reps if they wanted.

Over the last week or so I have received reps from a few people, and would like to return the favor, I just don't know who they were from.

example of what I type as a rep message: (Allmotoronly) Nice Ride!!! +6
or (Allmotoronly) Good point. I agree. +6
or (Allmotoronly) GTFO noob. -3.

etc...

At least this way, until the User CP is fixed, you will know who left you reps without having to ask a Mod.

There is one flaw to the idea though. If you make a lot of posts, you probably won't feel like looking back through each post to see who repped you.
