To me, it's Christmas time, and since the majority of people celebrate it, I usually say it.
If someone says Happy Hannukah to me, I wouldn't get mad. The same if I say Merry Christmas to someone who doesn't celebrate.
Saying thank you or just, oh I'm Jewish, I would say Happy Hannukah then.
Everyone wants a reason to complain though...especially your people
