No matter who is in office i think taxes will go up and gas will go up or fluctuate because were starting to meet a high demand again, The war on terror has already failed and The US will never fall as a world power unless something real drastic happened like an all out war or a good percentage of the population was killed off....

The US economy plays a major role on the worlds economy so if our economy fails so will alot of other countries as well.

Experience doesn't mean shit when it comes to making choices in the oval office. I mean look how experienced George bush was and look how bad he fucked us over. In the last 8 years the republicans have had the office they have

-Started a war - the muslims started the war with 9/11, but there was a war going on for long before that.
-Put this economy into a recession - Clinton did that by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. One impact of this repeal is that certain advisory activities of the banks are now regulated by the Investment Advisers Act of 1940..THAT is why banks were able to invest in real estate and thus, when the market went bust, so did the banks and the economy. Previously, banks could not invest like this.
-Un-employment rates have risen drastically - Once again, when the economy goes bust, unemployment rises.
-Gas prices have risen to record prices - they fell just as quickly as well as of late. To below 2004 prices. That wasn't Bush's fault.
-The domestic auto industry is going to hell - blame unions. I can assure you that if the "Card Check Bill" passes in Congress, it will get even worse. Read up on it.
-The dollar has dropped worldwide - Please refer back to banks investing in a speculative real estate market made possible by Clinton.
-Welfare has risen - Oh boy, people want more handouts. Well, that and unemployment given the economy. Read a few statements up to connect the dots.

I think it's about time to give the democrats a shot.
