you are gonna laugh at me tony.

but its adding fractions and mixed numbers. also determining radii from given figures. I am pretty stupid in math. just give me words and I'll run circles around a literature class.

I'm not going to laugh at you, fractions and mixed numbers were always the worse for me and anything in Algebra II

Wheres the bottom of the Q line leading too? Need to see the rest of the bottom to help, but as of what I can see right now, I'd guess Q to be "3.5".

Q drops all the way down to where radius J ends. which is the end of the center line of the object on that bottom view. (center line is that broken line that extends out above the actual object. almost points to 5.000)

and P is from the far left end to the center line. still the bottom pic. No values are given for P.

P I believe is 2.5. It is half the distance of the 5 mark above with a line drawn down the center of the drawing above it... The width of the drawing on top is 5, and P is half the distance, in other words... Also, I wanna say that Q is 3.5...

Do you see the E? It goes from the very bottom line under the bottom drawing, all the way to the top of the top drawing. There is a number that says 11. There is another measurement on the very left of the top drawing that says 3.5. Therefore The whole thing is 11, but you would subtract the top drawing which is 3.5... 11-3.5 is 7.5. The reason you subtract the measurement of the top drawing is because "Q" starts at the bottom of the top drawing, and goes to the very bottom line... That make any sense?

The measurement of "11" for "E" is the middle of the top drawing by the part of the line that zig zags...

    i agree.
this isnt the way a real blueprint works, they're just tryin to get you to figure out the distances between the dimensions so its kind of a pain to figure out the bull shit on here. i could make this part in no time, but this is a fucd up print. i agree with motivation, P is 2.5, and i think Q is 3.5. sorry i cant help you out more, but im super tired and got a long day at the shop tomorrow. AND im on the phone with a crying girlfriend so if this doesnt make sense, i TRULY apologize
and ill look it over again tomorrow

yeah the drawing is messed up in that Q is referencing a dimension that crosses 2 different views. very f'ed up.

AAAHHHH! my brain is flushed looking at that.
    I truly, deeply dislike math.
    It always kills me.
But whether i like it or not, it's EVERYWHERE.
    unfortunately...
