I participate in it, and have been training for quite awhile...middle of next year will be 5yrs, and a bunch of my friends fight in the UFC, WEC, etc, so yeah, I follow everything pretty closely. That's fine though, you can haze. I haze right back!Originally Posted by Friggintitsman

Which KU do you train at? I've trained with guys from there. Steve Headden, John Trent, and a few others. I've also trained with Paul Creighton, who is a Renzo Gracie black belt. Just a lot of different guys I guess, since I got in before shit got really big. Anyway, yeah, Ricardo Murgel is who I train BJJ under now. Highest ranking (8th degree) BJJ black belt (now a red belt) in this state, and actually on the east coast. Good stuff.

Do you live up here in Alpharetta?

Yeah, I live in Alpharetta. I trained at that KU with Steve and John when it first opened. I just like training with and learning from BJJ black belts, so I pretty much only like to work with them. KU also seems to have a shortage of BJJ black belts right now. A lot of people left and went elsewhere. Anyway, I've trained with BJ Penn, Eddie Bravo, Matt Serra, and many others, so I like to keep a variety, and stay with the best guys I can, whenever possible. Right now I can't do that much with my broken arm, as it's been broken 3 times now, and this is the 2nd time in 6 months (both requiring surgery each time, and dislocated the wrist this time too), so this thing is healing pretty slow now. I still train every day, but I'm very limited. I just got released to do a bit more though, so we'll see. I got a lot of shit from the guys I know the day I got outta the hospital as they were in town! LOL. I posted one of them before, but I'll post the other ones since this IS a picture thread. Might as well TRY to keep things somewhat on topic! Haha.Originally Posted by Friggintitsman

^^^UFC LW, and #1 contender, Kenny Florian. He just tells me that "I think you can come back stronger, but damn that sucks" LOL. Another nice pat on the back, haha. Kenny is cool though.
^^^Then of course, this is Dana White. He was all like "Fuck bro, you need to be at least getting paid when you break it." Pretty much what I expected out of Dana. LOL.
Yeah, I'm fresh outta the hospital, see these guys a few hours later, and this is EXACTLY what I need to hear. Eddie Bravo was also wanting specifics of how I applied the arm triangle when it snapped, LOL. Jeez! Yeah, so not the most sensitive group of guys I know, and pretty funny stuff for me to hear while I'm still all mangled, haha.
