So I cut the 1' diameter muffler off my hatch the other day, not realizing I had no welding wire to put my other muffler on with. I then ride around with no muffler for a day... never again. I decide to temporarily put my flowmaster on the car, just until my header is here and we re-do my exhaust. Using speaker wire, I hang the muffler, slip it onto the remaining exhaust, and check to see how secure it is. Wow, holds pretty good, take the car around the block driving like a jackass to make sure it stays on... check, good job, self.

Leaving my buddy's house tonight, I make the executive decision to "hit it like I just can't miss." You're correct, VTEC... omg, I know. True, it's a dangerous maneuver, especially on the street. Torque steer, loss of traction, etc. Anyways, I get onto the street, put it in 3rd, and let her have it. Brrrrrrr *vtec* BWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Electric cut-out I think to myself? No, too cheap for that, lol. I push the clutch in and give it a quick rev, damn it! I lost the muffler!

Turns out it slid to the side of the road and out of the way. Now I feel like a dumb ass for riding around with something that could've caused a wreck (not VTEC, the rigged muffler). At the same time it's funny that something as weak as VTEC could blow it off.

If you'd like, I will gladly tell my story over again, even if you don't care
