Wayne prefers weird cyborg chicks over weird animal ear chicks? lol

I feel you on some of those titles though. Record of Lodoss War and Rurouni Kenshin were always good. I never did like GITS or Ninja Scroll though. Did you ever watch the more recent GITS: Stand Alone Complex?

I would guess that you got your user name from what you do whenever Chris Hansen comes around.

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing that I like more than a Miyuzaki or some dragon ball, akira, etc. Blood the last vampire. I don't like the new stuff as much. Eva was very good, the first two GITS movies, the series is irritating. Full metal alchemist and Bleach are pretentious. Almost anything they show on [AS] I have no interest in.
But there is other animation too.

For example, The Brothers Quay (you probably know their style from the Sober and Prison Sex tool videos), Prince Achmed, Chuck Jones, Richard Williams (who framed Roger Rabbit). The list goes on. I've got about 100 animated movies.

lol, it's cool man. You like 1980's Western animation and I like anime. Just a difference in preference.

Taking into account GK's arguments, one does have to admit that Western animation does have it high points over anime in some aspects. The movements are a bit more fluid and in the higher dollar films (ex: Disney classics) the words and voices are well lip-synched to the script. In anime, there do tend to be a lot of reused movements in a scene, particularly with mainstream television series. Also, even in big budget series the lips are rarely synched to the spoken words. A majority of this is due to the Japanese language being more specifically pronounced and harder to synch than the slurred English language. Still, I do find the characters, stories, and overall animation more appealing in anime which combines to make quite the theatrical experience when one doesn't scrutinize over small details. We all have our personal tastes.
