its going to go up a dollar. told most my friends yesterday its cause the hurricanes. thats why i got gas yesterday
It's going up because they're getting ready to shut down the plants in Houston for the storm. This is nothing but obvious gouging. Pucker up boys.
It jumped 60 cents in 6 hours here...

yep i paid 3.51 yesterday its up to 3.89 at same gas station today
we here in sc are hitting 4.999 a gallon of regular.
Attorney General warned SC this afternoon about price gouging. We are to go 1-803-734-3970 to report the store that is price gouging. They are also suppose to issue refunds to those that have paid the higher price.
A friend that works at a QT near Kennesaw said that (according to her manager) gas is going up $0.20 a time continuously all day. That was about an hour ago too so...
on zebulon rd it was 4.50 on the way back from physical thearpy.....i was like sh** ill catch the bus to school tommorow.
It was 3.69 for premium last nite when I filled up. (thank goodness!) but today, it is 4.99 for regular.
The news keeps saying that prices have only jumped .20-.70 (depending on which news reports) but lets do the math.... 4.99-3.69= 1.30 I dunno bout yall, but I think my math is wrong, i got a 1.30 jump not a .20

didnt they pass a bill were it could not go over 4.80 a gallon and all the oil places in texas shut down and gas is going up 15cent every hour in mcdonough at kroger
Its called speculation, and fear. You all are falling for it. thats why prices are spiking. People are getting scared so they are rushing to fill up their tanks in fear that there will be no more gasoline after this week! Thats whats causing your prices to skyrocket. I filled up @ 3.49 on monday. still have 3/4ths of a tank left. im in no rush to get any gas. probably will go back down before i need another tank

This isnt going to stay like this. One week maybe two. Its not price gouging there not "making" anymore gas so the value of it climbs. Gas did hit a all time low but becasue they shut off the refinery (so we dont lose millions of gallons of gas in the storm) theres not much for the gas stations to buy thus making hte price go up. No need to freak out it will be back down soon.
