    Default Lightning Strikes Middle School FB Game

    Struck 7-8 people. The students that were struck are fine. 1 coach is paralyzed from the waist down. 1 Coach is expected to die soon b-c of the damage done to him. The coach that is supposed to die is the coach or Warner Robins Middle School. THis happened at a football game between Warner Robins and Bonaire middle. Please keep them in your prayers.

    holy **** i know a few girls talking about a coach that got hurt i didnt know this happened damn man i know it C. martin that is supposed to die i hope he survives man this sucks

    A parent told the refs that lighting was coming. Ref said lighting was 20 miles away so they play unless its with in 5 miles. It moved closer over the next 20 mins. Coaches and refs meet on the center of the field to discuss calling the game and get hit.

    weirdest thing about this to me is, doesnt lightning strike the object with the highest amount of positive charge? i mean in the middle of a FB field, figured it would have hit hte stands or the lights!

    As soon as you see flashes in distance, the game should be called off right away. Lightning doesn't strike down right away, there are some flashes first to give you a warning. I personally think the refs are to be blamed for this accident.

    Yea you have to be really careful. If a coach or ref saw lightning or even heard it was coming at our lacrosse games it was instantly cancelled. Then again, we run around with metal sticks and throw them around so I guess it's worse. Still, something like this should never happen.

    Michael is doing better, but not out of the woods. He opened his eyes today and squeeze the nurse's hand when asked to before he was sedated so that he brain does not swell. Doctors are saying he is progressing good and have removed the neck brace and they don't believe he is paralyzed and the mri showed that his heart is al right. But the big concern is the swelling of the brain and his kidneys. My cuz is strong and I know he is going to pull through, keep him in your thoughts and also the kids that witnessed this
