Default Thanks for coming out to TFS!!!

Thanks for coming out to TFS last night - despite all of the obstacles we had with the event

    - 4 weeks to promote (normally 6 months)
    - potential for loads of rain - luckily dry most of the night; just some sprinkles
    - idiots posting up event was canceled even though it wasn't - banning is in order
    - down turn in participation in the industry due to economy slow down.

as of right now we know we had 175 race cars and 700+ spectators. this is lower then the previous Tunerfest but then again factor in everything above and it was a pretty good event. I know for a fact it still has to be one of the largest import events and we did it w/ NO SPONSORS and in a few weeks time.

**note** i know a few people wanted bracket racing and we added this time to the event but it had a very weak showing. Noone signed up for AWD, 5-6 for FWD, and 13 for RWD. You need 16 for brackets to make everything work out.

I think both the track and us were happy with this format and you may see more events next year with the same format and possibly a points series

I had a good time out there lastnight. There were some obsticals to overcome, and even though I didnt break into the 12s, I still had a lot of fun. Thanks a lot for getting this together.

when i checked the list around 12am there wasn't enough - at 12 we started tallying up points for winners

i think next time i will open up bracket signup online weeks before the event.

paul didn't run my car...that was deaf pat...granted all white people do look the same so i cannot fault you for that...

i ran the first two times and pat ran the last two (and got the slowest 1/4 because he is retarded and deaf)....

that was also my first time racing at the strip...i promise i'll get my reaction time better...

I had a blast there and can't wait to do it again. Being my first time on a dragstrip I learned a lot and know that I still have a lot more to learn. Thanks Paul and the rest of you involved in putting this event together, it was a great time.

Oh and by the way, thanks for putting this event together. I had a lot of fun watching everyone try to launch and most failed, but they tried. lol. The turnout was surprising. I didn't expect that many people to show up, cause you figure, oh it'll be like one huge BP meet and everyone knows that if there's even a slight possibility that it MIGHT rain, people get freaked out and don't come. lol. So thanks to everyone who showed up! You made it THAT much more awesome.
