when he ran the 9.69 in the 100, the last 25 meters he was showboating and slowing down. he is the fastest man i have ever seen. i think they said the hit 35+ mph. i wonder what he does a 40 yd dash in? sub 4's?
It cant be more than 35+Originally Posted by BlueHatch
i say right around 30. When you are a running human, 5 mph is a huge difference.
man i wanna say it was faster than 30 mph. they said it during the broadcast of the 100. maybe its on youtube or someone has it tevo'd
Then I take my hat off to him and apologize. I just don't see how he can let off show boat and still manage to crush these records. IDK. Just seems odd to me.Originally Posted by EJ25RUN

we will see in time, i think it was 88 when that guy won and not too long afterward was stripped of the medals for testing positive so i'm sure he has pressure to have himself tested just to prove it all.Originally Posted by redGT
i heard on the broadcast they were testing phelps between events i would assume the do that with runners tooOriginally Posted by EJ25RUN
someone posted something about jesse jackson saying swimmers arnt tested as hard as track runners so you are prolly right.Originally Posted by BlueHatch
it was amazing to watch. he's fast as ****. he is quite a bit taller than the rest of his competitors. i think that's his advantage
He was running an average of 23 mph. Just saw it on ESPN

I'll bet he was juicing up until the Olympics. There are steroids that don't take long to get out of your system.
not to go against what you said but it is just generally sad that when an athlete is so successful nowadays, steroids are an immediate thought. Whether the Olympics or the Tour de France.....sadOriginally Posted by Staggered6
It really is, thats the reason I like basketball(pro) and College football, you never hear much about steriods in either of them

i doubt that. i feel college kids are so desperate to make it to the pros that they will make stupid decisions like steroids.Originally Posted by Cjrp18
On the other hand a pro athlete might be at a level where he is to proud too take steroids.
College has very strict testing. You very rarely hear about steriods in cfb

coming from a jamaican family and being extremely proud of this moment, i hope he or any other sprinter wasnt on anything. I highly doubt any foul play was involved tho
