That is nice, but it add a few hundred pounds to the weight. That is my only beef with that swap. Someone over on Elisetalk.com is making a kit to tilt the clam like that though.....Me want one....

you do know what motor that is don't you? 2.7 biturbo S4 motor in a elise :idb: - fully capable of 400-500whp w/ stock internals

My guess is if they are comfortable paying for the GTR, the price of the oil change does not hurt their wallet much...I do agree though that it is rediculously priced for an oil change.

It still and always will be a fun car to drive. A 13b ISNT going to make it any better. That turbo setup cost A LOT less than a 13B swap. And will never look as sexy as that does from the rear.

I'm actually a big fan of the GT-R...and I feel the same way.

Alternatively the people who act identically about the ZR1 are just as big ****riders. The worst part is that most of these people are never going to care about seeing these cars race against each other. There's no competition like there was even 20 years ago when the BNR32 came out and Godzirra stormed every Group A race it could get into with such absolute dominance that Group A started to fall apart. Now we race with plastic tubeframe cars with non-homologated race-built V-8's that are crate boxes identical to one another. The cars all weigh in the same weight range and everything is all balanced and "Fair" but there's no reason to really root for a car or anything any more. It's all pointless because even if you watch DTM...you can't root for the A4's and really be cheering on an A4...I mean they have a V8 that's only related to the RS4 engine, fighting against Mercedes that usually have V6's running an engine that's almost identical to spec's. Bleh. Why get all hyped up about a car...that even if you DID own it, you could never push to it's limits? If something doesn't change about the american car scene...and by that I mean to say if people don't begin to understand that there's more to cars besides dragracing and '69 Mustangs and Chevelles...then we can expect that soon America will have nothing at all to show for it's desires for performance except electronically limited 75mph max cars that have to meet a ridiculous 45mpg highway mandate.

the whole thing about taste, is its your own personal taste....You cant jsut physically tell anyone that they dont have taste. They dont have YOUR taste.... if we all had the same taste.. the world would be a terrible place.
