I'm a corporate businessman in IT, so white collar all the way. Very rarely do you get fired in business like this unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY **** up.

I design, plan, maintain, etc storage subsystems and arrays for my company. This includes disaster recovery, normal day to day operations, replication, performance planning, logistics, reporting, new hardware and technologies...I could go on all day. It's a lot of work...a lot of precise work that requires very detail-oriented thoughts and methodologies.
I'm sure that you have heard of EMC, NetApp, IBM, etc storage. That's what I deal with...
Think *very* advanced, high level in the IT field; especially in the storage field. Anytime you get "architect" in your name in the IT field, you are in the upper group/position in terms of experience, responsibility, $$$, etc.

Nope. I don't believe that we offer any internship-type positions at my company. It's basically "come and and hit the ground running" type of stuff in the IT department. We don't play around...Got any internship positions?
