I'd really learn how to cook decently. When I was a Freshman, I spent entirely too much money on food on/off campus. We have a Chic-Fil-A and Burger King and stuff on campus, but a "normal" meal there is ~$6. For $6 at Sam's, or even Kroger/Publix, I can get enough food to last 2-3 days.
But amen on not wanting to cook all the time. What college are you at? I'm assuming you guys have a card your parents can place money on, see if local places give you a discount. Quite a few places around Emory do that for us.
Im at Georgia Souhern, yeahh, they can put money into an account that we can swipe our I.D.s and use on campus, yeah, i spent 20 bucks in groceries and its lasted a while, lol, but damn, I miss good food

Meal Plans suck man. Which plan did you get? I had one for 2 meals a day last year. if you don't use them you lose the money. The only decent place to eat on campus is Chick fil a. I had that a couple of days a week last year. The pickle barrel (oncampus grocery store for the non-gsu people) is a huge freakin rip off. They basically buy stuff from walmart and charge twice as much. Gus's grill (inside landrum) is pretty good. The pasta place at lakeside is pretty good too if you don't mind waiting.
That italian place in the union was good. I didnt get a plan, lol, I live off-campus

if your eating lunch on campus you might want to buy the one meal a day plan just to make payment easier. They charge you more if you pay with cash or a debit/credit card.
Oh yeah, talons grill is good too, thats probably the place you were talking about in the union.
hamburger helper is that ish. i have double cheezy macaroni cooling on the stovetop as we speak
dairy queen has good chicken strips with buffalo sauceOriginally Posted by redGT

Get in good with the administration, student union offices, clubs, groups, etc. Trust me, you will rarely EVER have to pay for food!Originally Posted by Cjrp18
