    Default LG VU

Anyone on here have the VU. If so, are you happy with it? I got mine about a month ago, was satisfied with it until I found out that it may have already been discontinued by LG. I love the TV on it, but with it supposedly being disc. I am not sure that I want to keep it. I am not a huge fan of the Iphone, but is the next best thing (touch screen-wise) from AT&T, that I may be interested in. Feel free to post your opinions.

I have it and LOVE it.

I'm anti-Apple everything, so the iPhone was never an option. I really wasn't even strongly considering a touch screen. But I just saw it, actually from someone in the city passing out an ad for it, and loved it.

I'm a big LG fan, so I figure I'd go for it. I've had it for a few months now and couldn't be happier. The features are great, the touch screen works very well, and all call quality is up to par.

Have you figured if the VU has Email alert? The only alert that I get is when someone sends a text. If it does have the Email alert, how do you turn it on? I have read the manual (which is not the best) & tried everything that I possibly can on the phone. Thanks for your help.

You want to get rid of a good phone just because it's discontinued? Why?

Main reason not being that it may be discontinued, but for the simple stuff that it should do that I don't think it does. When this phone was released, the hype behind it was that it was the Iphone killer (doubt that very much after owning it). Simple stuff like an Email alert, that I can't figure out how in the heck if it does have it to make it work. It is a great phone for what it is, Email works great, TV is great, etc. Maybe I'll keep the suckah & just continue to check my Emails manually .
