Seriously, why does everybody worry so much about Commerce being slower than any other track?

What's the big deal about that? It is common knowledge that Silver Dollar is up to a sec faster at times. Ok, got it. So why not just run to run? Does the "good slip" really matter that much to you guys? What's the big deal? Everybody else is slipping and sliding if it's not prepped right? So everybody is on the same level playing field, right? Why does it matter? So it becomes more of a driver's game. You guys that scared of a "slow" slip ONE TIME?

I don't get what the issue is.

Tell me that its a 3 hour ride, fine. Tell me that your car is not legal enough to pass tech with the super anal techs there, cool. But to utterly refuse to go and run, at Tunerfest for example, simply because the track is not "prepped" to your specs.....sounds like an excuse to me to be honest. Again, isn't everybody else racing on the same non-prepped track? Well, they'll have crappy times too, right? So why worry about that? I could understand if they prepped one side and left the other like an ice skating rink, cool. I get that. That's not cool. But come on....is it really that big a deal? I mean do you guys put that much emphasis on time slips? Do yall like frame them or something? I mean, seriously, does it really matter in the end?

What I notice is that the biggest complainers are willing to race on a PUBLIC NON-PREPPED AT ALL street at the drop of a hat, yet just utterly refuse to race at the mere mention of "Commerce". Why is that?

Please elaborate.
