    Default My Girls close call with a Copperhead

    SO... Miha was out weed wacking.... when a snake slithered across her foot.... she freaked and ran to get her cell... Called us and once we got home this is what we saw....

    SO she got Lucky today....

    damn glad she is alright and didn't get bitten!

    i found a snake while i was mowing the lawn once and it scared the crap outta me too but i still got the shovel and behead the sucker

    I can't believe that snake slithered across her feet. Copperheads are really quick to bite when compared to other species. The venom usually only causes mild tissue damage as opposed to attacking the nervous system. I read up on them a lil while ago.

    as soon as it hid from her... pic 1-3 it curled up and was ready to launch... so we didn't get within 3 feet of it.... thats why the pics suck...

    so there was no way I was gonna go after it... besides.... they have a shortage of antivenom for them now, so it was taken away to someplace for antivenom....

    yeah he said that the reason it did not strike her was because the vibration of the weed wacker was so strong it just wanted to get out of the way....

    shiznit, thats a copper head. Looks fairly young. Really there are far worse things that could bite you, an eastern rattle for example. Copperheads are the shyer of GA 6 poisonous snake but they're the most popular, so they get a bad rap. Of the 1700 bite cases a year 80% of them are people who we're "tampering" with the snake. I'm glad Miha wasn't one of the 20% though...

    she got lucky....good thing it didnt connect...i was bitten by a moccasin before...the one thing i knew i had to do was CALM THE FUCK DOWN !!!!
